Terms of Reference for Site Specific Multidisciplinary Groups
1. Site Specific Chairs will be elected from within each group. The term of office will be for two years, after this the Chair will change or be re-elected.
2. The group will be multi-disciplinary in nature.
3. The group will meet at least twice a year. Support for the meeting will be provided from the Peninsula Network office. For there to be a quorum, at least one member from each acute trust MDT must be present
4. The key tasks of the group will be:
- Agreement and review of referral and clinical guidelines
- To agree/ensure collection of minimum data set
- To support research and development in the Peninsula and agree common clinical trials
- To support the Cancer Services Collaborative projects by sharing practice and experience
- To agree and support the audit programme both at regional and local level
- To ensure that national targets and objectives are met
- To develop a multi-professional education programme
5. The group will work towards developing 'user input' into the site specific group. Support for this will be provided by the Peninsula Network office.
